4wk Paper Maché Class
If you’ve been around for a while, then you know Sessa, our lead teacher at the studio. She is so gifted in teaching and always comes up with unique projects in a variety of materials but if you realllly know her you know her heart is in Paper Maché sculpture.
We are devoting an entire 4wk course to just building the best paper maché sculptures. So get ready for 4 weeks of messy 3D art all November long!

Gelli Print Workshop

We got some new art supplies in the studio, and we LOVE THEM! Let us share them with you to inspire new ways of creating. Gelli Plates are a printmaking technique that allows you to explore monotype, botanical, stencil, image transfer, and ghost prints. We will explore multiple ways to use these new materials in a fun afternoon workshop different than anything we have done before!

In this four-part acrylic painting class, Ashley will guide students through the fundamentals of acrylics, including brushwork, paint application, color mixing, composition, layering, and finishing techniques. Students will experiment, build confidence, and develop their own creative voice while creating an expressive acrylic painting to take home.
-Borrowed supplies are included in the cost of the class.
-You may purchase the supply kit for your own for $50.

Upcycled Indigo Class

Don’t discard it - dip it! This indigo workshop can help you reimagine your wardrobe by dipping your well-loved items into our indigo vats to bring fresh color! Carolyn will be here to help you prep your pieces before the indigo transforms your pieces. Bring TWO of your own items only rules are they must be natural fibers (cotton, linen, bamboo, rayon, viscose etc. Old linens, doilies etc do well) that have been pre-washed without fabric softener. Pre-loved or new, as long as they have been washed. Items DO NOT have to be white; sometimes light colors create beautiful patterns too!

— ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Ashley Ruff is a painter inspired by nature, global textiles, and natural light. Her art celebrates botanical life through vibrant and bold hues. She earned a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography from Winthrop University and has spent more than 17 years creating and directing art, design, and photography. In recent years, Ashley has turned her focus to watercolor and acrylic painting, blending her love of color and nature into her work. She offers original paintings, a small selection of home products, and fine art prints. In addition to her artwork, Ashley designs textiles and household products featuring her original patterns and provides web design and branding services for businesses.
